Odessa College confers degrees and certificates in the Fall, Spring and Summer semesters

A Commencement (Graduation) Ceremony is held twice a year in May and December.  Students completing degree requirements during the fall or midwinter are invited to participate in the fall graduation ceremony. Students who complete requirements in the spring, Maymester, or summer terms are invited to participate in the spring graduation ceremony unless unusual circumstances prevent such participation.

Students working toward a degree or certificate should consult with their Student Success Coach and faculty advisor early in their academic career to ensure that all required courses are being completed. The student is responsible for reviewing Student Planner (through Wrangler Self-Service) to track their academic progress.

Transfer or Career? Where are you headed?

Students who transfer to a university or another college after attending OC may still earn a degree or certificate from Odessa College! It's called a Reverse Transfer, and OC just needs your official transcripts from your next college or university. You must have completed at least 25% of the degree at OC and completed all the courses for your program. Check out the Career & Transfer Services webpage for more information on transfer and ask your Success Coach about the next university visit!

Heading to the workforce? Did you know that employers search Odessa College for recent graduates and want you to join their teams? College Central Network can help you make the transition into the workforce, and there are other job links on our career page. Look for our next job fair on campus to meet employers in person, too!

Graduates' Directory Information: To help graduates transition to the next phase of their education, directory information may be released to local and regional universities for students who have earned an AA or AS degree. If you do not wish this information to be released, please note this preference in the Graduation Survey.
